Healing and Deliverance was one of the most outstanding and significant ministries of our Lord. No prophet in the Old Testament had performed either of these ministries, but as He began His ministry Jesus proclaimed to the world that He came to set every captive free from Satanic bondage: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor, He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed” (Luke 4:18).

During His earthly ministry, Jesus healed and cast out demons from many thousands. Moreover, He named Healing and Deliverance as two of the three most important ministries to be carried out by His 12 apostles: ‘Then He appointed twelve that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach, and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons (Mark 3:14-15).

And He instructs all who follow Him to continue these ministries:

“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give” (Matt.10:8).

“And these signs will follow those who believe. In My name they will cast out demons…they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover” (Mark 16:17-18).

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also, and greater works than these he will do” (John 14:12).

In obedience to, and faith in, the Lord’s commandments, GCCI has been engaged in healing and deliverance from our inception. During the past 17 years, we estimate that we have healed about 900 sicknesses through the power of the Holy Spirit, the name of Jesus and the blood of the Lamb. More that 400 of these were deliverance cases. Deliverance is usually required for nicotine, alcohol and drug addictions, and the breaking of curses due to generational and individual sin. 15 homosexuals became normal, macho guys and got married and had kids. 31 married couples, who could not have children though married from 7 to 15 years, had babies within 10 months of prayer. Among those healed from life-threatening sicknesses was a 21 year old girl in Dubai, who had a brain tumor in 2009 and was given 3-6 months to live by her doctors. She is now happily living in Cavite, Philippines. Another is a 48 year old lady who was on the point of death in Mindanao, Philippines in 2014. Her three brain tumors disappeared completely after we cast them out. A brother who was dying of lung cancer was healed in the same city in the same year. A 45 year old brother, whose blood pressure was 190 over 120, was instantly healed in Dubai in 2015 when we laid hands on him in church. He went for a check-up the next day, and his doctor was perplexed and amazed at how his veins and arteries had been instantly cleansed of all fat and cholesterol! A 30 year old lady, who was dying of leukemia and had lost 50 kilograms, came for our Friday worship service in Dubai in 2013. She had just accepted Jesus and this was only her second visit to a church. No one prayed for her or laid hands on her, but during the service she fell down under the power of God. Lying on the floor, she had a vision in which God instructed her to tell everyone that He loved them. She was immediately healed and started gaining weight. Today she is an anointed evangelist, prayer warrior and Elder in the Church.
